Recipe Competition Winner Announced!

James Roberts wins the £50 Vegan Store voucher, and we see some highlights from competition entrants

Towards the end of 2022, we asked staff to share with us their favourite vegan recipe to be in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher for veganstore.co.uk.

We welcomed any recipes, either created by individuals, borrowed or adapted, and we particularly welcomed unusual authentic foods/recipes from around the World.

We’re pleased to announce that James Roberts won with his heart-warming family recipe that he has creatively ‘veganised’. The recipe is a traditional Polish dish called Bigos to celebrate New Years Eve and the recipe James has adapted is one that’s been in his family for four generations!

“Since going vegetarian last year, I wanted to still enjoy this dish with it’s flavours, warmth, and sentimentality in my family.”

James Roberts

We received a number of submissions, so we wanted to showcase a couple of other entries that also looked delicious!

Debbie shared a Lucy Bee recipe for Spicy Turmeric and Paprika Chickpeas, which personally we love the thought of with a big bowl of fluffy white rice 😍. View the Lucy Bee recipe here.

Lovleen sent us her take on Bombay Potatoes, her recipe is shown below and looks so simple to follow.

If you make any of our entrants homemade or favourite recipes shown above, we’d love to know! Drop us an email, along with any food pics to vegannetwork@suffolk.gov.uk
