The Vegan Network is Five!

This week the Vegan Staff Network celebrated its 5th birthday in the Endeavour House Atrium.

Network members Sadie Barber, Jessica Davies, Janus Van Helvert and Andy Tipp marked the occasion by handing out delicious plant-based cake to colleagues and councillors as a lunchtime treat.

The Vegan Network has come a long way since its inception. It was the first ever county council to launch a vegan network, and has grown to be one of the largest networks in SCC with over 200 members.

The Vegan Network is inclusive, and welcomes anyone interested in veganism whether their interests are about animals, health or the environment. Its aim is to promote veganism in the workplace in a positive and empowering way, and it’s open to anyone who’d like to get involved.

The network regularly holds meet-ups, organises volunteer days and collaborates on inclusive plant-based options available for staff.
